The school does not have an official uniform, but blue sweatshirts, cardigans and coats with the School Logo may be ordered through our secretary. School book bags are also available from the School office. Girls may wear any colour gingham school dress they choose. Skirts and trousers can be grey, navy or black.
We also run a second hand school wear rail that will be available to browse at SPOTS assemblies.
Jeans, Bermuda shorts and high heeled shoes are not considered to be suitable school wear.
Please send a pair of indoor shoes if your child comes to school in wellingtons. All clothing and personal items should be clearly named/labelled.
Children are not allowed to wear earrings, rings, necklaces or any other form of jewellery. This is for safety reasons and in line with other schools in our cluster and Settle College. Should any parent wish to have their child's ears pierced, it is suggested that this is done in the first week of the summer holidays so that their ears will have a chance to heal before school recommences.
PE and Swimming
The children require a change of clothing for PE for health reasons.
The following (which should be kept in a suitable bag) are suggested.
T-shirt and shorts (both these items should be suitable for sports activities rather than casual summer wear)
Trainers or old shoes for outdoor use
Socks to change into for the lesson
Plimsolls/trainers to use indoors
Track suit or jumper (for outdoor games in cold weather)
Children will also require swim wear and a towel when it is their Class' turn for swimming lessons (see below)
Class 3 in the Autumn term,
Class 2 in the Spring term
Class 1 in the Summer Term.
Art & Craft
It is recommended that children wear an apron or coverall for these activities. An old shirt or blouse is ideal.
